1870 Census for both Henry Bauman and Hanna Brinkman lists place of birth as Prussia.

There was a Henry Bowman declared intent to become a citizen of the United States. Oath was taken in York County, PA on Sept. 10, 1856. Renounced sovereignity to George the fifth, King of Hanover. This could be our Henry Bowman (Bauman). Copy of oath on file.
